Installing the LabVIEW Runtime Engine
| A. Go to the LabVIEW download page. Choose your OS from the pull-down menu, and click the "Runtime" radio button, then click download. |
| B. Double click on the file you downloaded, and accept all the defaults. (This takes a while. However, it will also be needed for many of the other simulators for the remote labs developed for Experimental Physics: Principles & Practice for the Laboratory.) |
| C. If you're on a Mac, and get the message, ' "LabVIEW ... " cannot be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software', then please go to this Apple support website, scroll down to "How to open an app that hasn't been notarized..." and follow the instructions there.
